Some reflections on the wildflower-like ways that Constellation work is spreading…
Emily and I are keynote presenters at the 2026 North American Systemic Constellations Conference in Wilmington, North Carolina, March 8-12. It is exciting to be together once more with the global community of facilitators and trainers. We were especially pleased to learn that of the 30 workshops approved for the conference, one-third are offered by Seeing with Your Heart graduates. This brings a warm smile to my face as it affirms both the effectiveness of our training and our commitment to supporting our graduates in having the confidence and capacity to bring their offerings forward.
After the first Constellations Conference organized by Jane Peterson in 2003, the community understood that the growth of Constellations in North America would not resemble oak trees with a movement centered around a handful of influential masters. Instead, the pathway for Constellations to become widely available would be for many facilitators to grow together – more like a field of wildflowers diversely expressing their colors and welcoming different pollinators – a growth based in relationship.
In other words: this work wouldn’t be carried by a few “great ones,” but by many people holding it together and inspiring its growth.
We knew this was going to be a challenge – and it has been. For both trainers and learning facilitators developing competency (or, even mastery), we need a learning model that builds intuitive perception, facilitator confidence, and knowledge-based skills simultaneously.
The Art of Crossing the Gap
There is an art to creating this type of training because at the heart of it, Constellations are phenomenological. Each one comes to the junction of the gap, that moment when what is known meets the invisible dynamic that the systemic Constellation reveals. When Bert Hellinger offered his guidance for crossing the gap, he said: “I wait and see whether something emerges suddenly, like a flash of lightning, which seems essentially true and throws some light on the situation.”
This is the moment when the Constellation crosses a threshold and new insight emerges that neither the facilitator nor the client previously knew. Shifting into the liminal awareness of the known and the unknown is where we find an ancestor or resource revealing the entanglement and ushering in the healing movement.
For facilitators, especially recent training graduates, this juncture is often a very anxious place. With all eyes on them, they face the unknown and await (or, aka pray for) this flash of lightning. These moments test their courage and confidence.
Learning Through Practice, Supervision, and Mentorship
For most of the 2010s, Emily and I, together with Ed Lynch, Suzi Tucker, Francesca Mason Boring, Bill Mannle, and later Samvedam Randles led the annual Systemic Constellations Intensive in Connecticut. We always had an option for newly trained facilitators to get practice, supervision and mentoring. Many times, I witnessed skillful peers and well-trained colleagues stumble in these gap moments.
When we created our Alchemical Constellations training, this question was front and center in our design:

An Art and Science Approach to Training
Our informed, yet ever-evolving approach, to training Constellation facilitators combines art and science. Our curriculum includes understanding the principles of representative perception, ancestral entanglements and healing movements. We weave together knowledge of multiple disciplines including natural law, sound and vibration, family systems therapy, cellular biology and quantum theory, and ancient wisdom traditions.
It is an art because no matter how much expert knowledge we possess, when the ancestors arrive for healing, there is no sequence of steps, no book, notes, or even previous examples that can be substituted for the originality, spontaneity, creativity, and artistry that’s needed in the real-time moment. The facilitator needs to trust the field and hold the container for healing to flow from earth, ancestors, and spirit.
The facilitators and representatives use the heart as an organ of perception to gain access to pathways of non-local consciousness – what we call the quantum information field. When the Constellation arrives at the gap between the known and the mystery, the facilitator lets go of knowing how to do it, and trusts that the healing movement and insights will arise from the field.

A Mystical Art Grounded in Physical Reality
Constellations are a mystical art grounded in physical reality that is reflected in every component of our Alchemical Constellations training. This year-long curriculum blends deep personal transformation with practical, embodied skill-building. We begin with rhythmic Seeing with Your Heart practices to awaken your intuition and harmonize your mind, body, heart, and soul with the multidimensional levels of consciousness. This is followed by an immersion into the principles of how Constellations work. The last part of the training combines facilitation practice and a turn towards how to build and grow a sustainable professional practice – with all of these portions of the training guiding participants toward their brightest, soul-led path.
Flexible Training for a Global Community
To serve our growing global community, the core training consists of live retreats and weekly virtual teaching circles. However, given the growing international concerns over travel to the United States, for the 2026-27 training our two mandatory 5-day live sessions (April and October) will be offered as a choice to attend either in-person or via Zoom. Trainees who elect not to attend in person will have the option to instead attend one in-person Seeing with Your Heart retreat outside the United States.
Support Beyond the Classroom
In addition to these core components, the training includes private one-to-one Constellations, and special topic workshops from highly-trained members of our Alchemy Team. To help you bring your newly acquired skills into the world, we include a training-within-a-training on Online Presence and Visionary Branding Development.
Unique to the Alchemical Constellations training is our team of Hearth Tenders – past graduates whose role is to offer weekly emotional and learning support outside of the main classes. Their role anchors the teachings in lived relationship around the hearth giving their systemic attention, care, and presence as the natural cycles of peaks and troughs rise and fall. They offer individual, small group, and supervised practice spaces for constellations with ample time slots to choose from.
Harmonizing Feminine and Masculine Energies
Both Emily and I have devoted our lives to freeing the heart of humanity and co-creating in community. This training model will expand your capacity to harmonize the feminine and masculine energies within so you can work in the mystery with courage. Our graduates allow ancestors to work with them and oral transmissions to speak through them. They trust that when they meet the gap where the healing is ready to come in, they will reach into their hearts and bodies inspired by poetry, artistry and creativity.
