Santjes Oomen is a mystic at heart, a visionary artist, and a lover of the reverie of life. Her work unfolds as an ongoing dialogue with the Universe. Born to Dutch parents and raised between the wide skies of East Africa and the waterways of the Netherlands, Santjes grew up listening to land, culture, and the quiet conversations between the visible and unseen worlds. This early listening lives at the center of how she meets people, with curiosity, reverence, and an attuned presence that welcomes what is ready to unfold.
She studied Visual Arts in Amsterdam, where her exploration of the meeting place between the physical and dream worlds began to take form through sculpture and painting, expressions of an inner landscape in dialogue with the greater mystery.
For more than four decades, Santjes has walked alongside individuals and communities as a practitioner and guide, weaving therapeutic bodywork, cranial-sacral therapy, energy medicine, sound, and systemic practices into spaces of healing and remembering. Since 1995, her Spirit in Practice circles have invited people into direct experience, where spirituality becomes lived, embodied, and relational.
Inspired by many traditions and artistic lineages, including Systemic Ritual work, Alchemical Constellation, and the dreaming streams of the Bön lineage and universal shamanism, Santjes works with symbol, sound, and movement as doorways between the physical and non-physical worlds. She is endlessly curious about the wisdom of nature and devoted to sharing creation as a living practice.
Her creation, WellWork: Rituals on the Wheel of Life, gathers decades of healing, artistic inquiry, and earth-based wisdom into a field of practice. Through the Wheel of the Four Directions and her Found in Transition cards, she invites people to walk the cycles of change, listen to the intelligence of the relational field, and remember their belonging within the greater whole.
From this wellspring emerged the Creative Warrior Collective,a holistic educational initiative empowering young hearts to reconnect, remember, and create together as a community of earth keepers with, ecological awareness. In these spaces, Santjes tends the field with steadiness and warmth, trusting the innate intelligence of each person and the wisdom that arises in community.
As a natural heart-tender, and honored to be part of the Seeing With Your Heart team, Santjes offers a quiet devotional presence where the heart can soften, imagination can awaken, and deeper belonging can be felt. She lives her path as an ongoing conversation between creation, wholeness, and relationship, supported by her husband Peter Lochtefeld and their children, Zuzu, Sam, and Sophia.
