We are still buzzing from our recent community circle in the shadow of the full lunar eclipse. The energy was alive. The chat lit up with comments and celebrations, and the screen became a living constellation of resonance. Each person’s intention created momentum, beauty, and possibility for the whole. Imagine that every moment, every cell in our body is receiving, transmitting, and responding to this invisible web of intelligence that connects all things.
There’s a certain magic to eclipses, isn’t there? They carry lineages… threads that weave past, present, and future into one field of transformation. These cosmic moments invite us to pause, reflect, and step into the unknown with courage. Whatever began, ended, or cracked open during the last eclipse cycle may now be ripening and calling for a new movement forward… one that asks for both courage and devotion.
That’s why we chose to gather in community for the eclipses in September. Because when we step into these portals together, the magic multiplies. A community circle becomes a mirror, reflecting back your brilliance even when you can’t see it yourself. In our circles, you begin to walk with more confidence, to hold your head high, and to feel the courage of others strengthening your own. What Does a Lunar Eclipse Mean Spiritually?
So, what is the spiritual meaning of a lunar eclipse?
Spiritually, a lunar eclipse is a threshold moment. It marks a powerful turning point where the past gives way to the future. Emily described it beautifully during our call:
“We are going to travel through the portal of death, through the deepest darkness that is here, what is completing and ending, and what wants to begin…”
During a lunar eclipse, hidden truths often come into the light and we are asked to face what has been eclipsed within us. Things like old fears, outdated stories, and limiting beliefs rear their heads in order for us to allow them to dissolve and move forward with renewed clarity.
Lunar Eclipse Rituals for Reflection and Release
So, how do you do a ritual during a lunar eclipse?
If you missed our last call, we will be gathering again on September 21 for the partial solar eclipse. This gathering is online and FREE so it’s accessible to all (register for that here). But if you’re intending to reflect on your own, the key to a lunar eclipse ritual is:
Reflection, Release, and Renewal.
In our most recent circle, we invited participants to look back at the last two eclipse moments to see what had shifted or begun then, and what was now ready to move forward:
→ Pisces Eclipse (September 2024): Check your calendars, social posts and journals – what did you begin at this time, what rearranged in your life, perhaps fell away or transmuted that might now be re-emerging and is offering itself for reevaluation. What about it is taking off, or even, ending?
→ Virgo Eclipse (March 2025): This one might be easier to remember simply because it’s more recent, but what was happening in your life in March 2025? The upcoming solar eclipse on September 21 is tied to March of this year – what seeds did you plant in March that are gaining life now or shifting in orientation?
Here are some simple steps to weave into your own eclipse rituals:
Create sacred space with a candle, an invocation, and other special items like a crystal and a journal.
Reflect on past patterns and what has been unfolding in your life.
Write down what you are ready to release: things like fears, stories, or attachments that no longer serve. Stand in the consciousness of them so that you can feel them spark in every cell of your being.
Set intentions for renewal, inviting fresh energy and alignment into your path. Then stand and represent yourself living, fully embodied, in the manifestation of those intentions. Allow your heart to unify with the frequency required to actualize your desires.
To magnify your ritual results, find a community to anchor your practice within. In particular, one filled with people doing their own inner work, making quantum leaps, and embodying the wisdom of every aspect of life. You may wonder: can lunar eclipses affect your energy?
The answer is yes.
An eclipse doesn’t only move through the sky, it moves through us too. → Solar eclipses invite us to begin. To plant new seeds for what we want to call into our lives. A time to ignite new beginnings and step boldly into what wants to emerge…
Together, they create a dance of endings and new beginnings.
In essence, eclipses invite us to pause, reflect, and realign. They remind us that endings and beginnings are never separate, but are threads of the same fabric. When we meet them with presence, intention, and community, they become powerful allies on the path of transformation.
