Most people drawn to Systemic Family Constellations work or Ancestral Healing modalities would never refer to themselves as a genius. If you did, it would convey that you think of yourself as a person with superior intelligence or talent. Yet, you may have witnessed a facilitator who demonstrated their genius in mapping the traumatized pieces of a complicated family system and then, with a sudden flash of insight, seamlessly connecting them into wholeness, creating a brilliant healing movement for the living descendent(s).
Put together – that you are not a genius, and that being a Constellations facilitator or healer demands a sort of genius – you may feel that training to facilitate is not for you. We often hear folks say, “I want to live a more meaningful life, with purpose and open, loving relationships, but I feel stuck and a bit like I carry a heart of stone.” Our response is to find the mountain within the stone, walk its trails, scale the ridges, ascend to its peak. Mountains don’t rise without earthquakes and the heart of stone has a pulse, a capacity, that seeks to be re-membered. Get to know the Genuis’ that live in the peaks of your heart and seek to contribute to our experience here on Earth.
In the vocabulary of Constellations, Genius, like many other terms, means something quite different than it does in common usage. From ancient times until the present, the word genius has morphed through a sort of cultural Telephone Game. Today, genius means a specific, exceptional trait possessed by extraordinary individuals – such as scientists, artists, and innovators.
In its origins, the word Genius comes from Latin where it meant every individual’s guardian spirit. This Genius influenced a person’s character and destiny, bestowing everyone with their own unique potential. But the concept of genius is much older than the Romans and Latin language. In nearly every indigenous culture, whether in Africa, China, Japan, Ireland, Polynesia, or the Americas, the geniuses, guardian spirits who provide wisdom and guidance, are ancestors.
In these traditions, someone does not have genius. A person with genius is someone connected to their ancestral resources. In the Zulu communities where Bert Hellinger lived, ancestors watch over their descendants, providing guidance, protection, and blessings. In Taoist Alchemy, ancestors exist in spiritual form influencing and guiding their descendants through synchronicities and fortune.
Cultivating your genius is central to Emily Blefeld and Dan Cohen’s Alchemical Constellations Facilitator training curriculum. Seeing with Your Heart awakens your body’s organ of perception to reclaim trust in your evolutionary ability to receive and transmit consciousness beyond the ordinary. As a modern alchemist, you will train your heart to digest old family, soul, and historical traumas and transform them into nourishment for new growth, love and health.
In this module, you will learn:

Living from Your Heart challenges your conditioned worldview for you to rediscover who you are and what you are here for. As we move deeper into the training, your unexamined perspectives on life will surface and be examined for what they are: survival strategies, belief systems, and cultural ideologies that were planted by your family and homeland. Through exploration and active participation with your training peers, you will meet your resistance in the blind spots of innocence and good conscience.
In the Living from Your Heart module, you will:
- Identify the paradigms embedded in your conditioning that prevent you from trusting your embodied knowing.
- Learn synergy of sound and energetic practices to maintain clarity in a world filled with chaos and discordance.
- Create a generative life path that flows towards the future beckoning you forward.
- Liberate eros and intimacy from inherited and acquired shame.
- Practice altar, object, and one-to-one Constellations.
- Understand techniques for finding healing movements in family, romantic, and work relationships.
Leading Through the Heart places our individual experiences in context of the quantum information field. While our bodies are finite, our consciousness is a holograph of the infinite universe. Without disconnecting from the ordinary here-and-now, we can attune with the field recognizing the ways that an individual’s desires and entanglements weave with the patterns of the greater universe.
Constellation work is profoundly impactful work. To lead through your heart, you will learn to treat yourself, clients, and the consciousness that arrives through the field with a strong sense of responsibility and respect. Most importantly, this means discovering your unique artistry and a path for authentic creative expression that supports a financially sustainable practice model.
