Dan’s Take on Psychic Skills at the Heart of Our Work

From Separation to Wholeness: Reflections from the NASC Conference
Last week Emily and I were keynote presenters at the North American Systemic Constellations Conference. With the Atlantic Ocean waves only steps away from us, a global and diverse community of 130 Constellation trainers, facilitators and students gathered to explore the conference theme: From Separation to Wholeness.
Constellations have always stood at the intersection of personal and collective experience. What began as Family Constellations quickly expanded into Systemic Constellations, because the individual is always part of a family, and the family always belongs to larger groups.
A Living Example: Healing Across Generations
During our Seeing with Your Heart presentation, we facilitated a large group constellation for a woman whose parents had immigrated from China. The focus client’s intention was: “To be a Truthteller who alchemizes collective trauma and restores joy for myself and others.”
In the initial setup, it became clear that personal struggles fit into the larger tapestry of traditional China’s values colliding with colonialism, war and the Communist and Cultural Revolutions. The Constellation included representatives for the primary family – revealing how in each prior generation those born as females were subjected to choices forced upon them that dictated how they lived and who they could love.
Surrounding the family, we added representatives for Communism, traditional Chinese ancestors, nature and spirit elements, and the longtime leader of Chinese Communism, Mao Tse Tung. What followed was a series of healing movements that wove the personal and the collective into a single field of connection – a deep and beautiful reminder of the interconnectedness that exists between us all.
Closing the Gathering with Hope
By the end of the conference, our closing ceremony left us feeling deeply connected and hopeful about the future of Constellation work. These conferences are always beautiful gatherings. We say our goodbyes, exchange hugs and contact information, and imagine the next time we will meet again, with a new hope alive in our hearts.
The Role of a 7 Day Challenge Facilitator
What continues to strike us each time we gather with this community is how much of the work depends on a capacity that most people sense but few are taught to trust: the ability to perceive and respond to what is happening in the unseen field. Constellation facilitators rely on subtle impressions, bodily knowing, images, and intuitive signals that arise from the field itself. Over time, it becomes clear that these perceptions are not random or mystical talents reserved for a select few. They are human faculties that strengthen with practice and attention and are transmitted from a field reaching out to connect with us.
You’ve Already Had Psychic Moments
We’ve all had a psychic moment: dreaming about an event before it happens, thinking of a person just before they call, or feeling the presence of someone who has passed away. These experiences are often dismissed or ignored, yet they reveal capacities that can be developed with attention and practice.
Again and again people ask us the same question:
How can I learn to perceive what happens in the unseen field?
How can I see, hear, and feel with my heart?
Introducing the 7-Day Psychic Awakening Challenge
